🎵 Music Lessons With Rubin 🎵
Lets make music together! If you are someone who wants to explore the bottomless well of wonder that is music, dont hesitate to reach out! I have taught piano, guitar, drums, bass, and brass instruments--as well as general music theory, ear training, and composition lessons. In my 10+ years of teaching I have worked with students of all ages at a wide variety of skill levels. From retired adults who are trying to stay mentally sharp, to toddlers still developing their motor-skills. From middle-schoolers in bands, to high schoolers trying to develop a skill that will set them apart on college applications. I have also worked with lots of musicians who have successfully created a career in music, but never had any formal training. I am confident that I can help you feel more comfortable on your instrument, and start having fun playing music right away!
Lesson Structure
My 45-minute lessons are peronalized to fit each student's interests, and are filled with enough variety to keep every type of learner engaged! I will work with you to set achievable goals--and it is my goal that each student learns to become their own best teacher. In all of my lessons I put an emphasis on ear-training, music theory, and improvisation.
About Me
I am a multi-instrumentalist musician and composer. I first started playing music at age 7 when I picked up the trumpet. I have been gigging professionally since highschool, and have had the opportunity to work in a variety of genres ranging from rock, to jazz and soul. In 2018 I recieved a bachelors degree from New England Conservatory where I studied Contemporary Improvisation.
